Complete workflow and versioning

A revolutionary yet simple approach to lifecycle management

WCM 4 introduces a comprehensive workflow and versioning sub-system. Through the administration UI, easily define workflows (finite state machine model) with states, transitions and permissions that might be specific to certain content types (e.g. a "publication workflow" for articles, and a "moderation workflow" for contribution).

Document versioning

Versions are automatically created on specified workflow transitions or manually by users. Documents can have an unlimited number of versions. The system also automatically creates a revision number when the document is saved.

Version restore and rollback

Authorized users can restore or rollback from any stored versions. All aspects of the document, including relations and associated media will be restored.

Easily interact with external systems

The workflow engine is fully scriptable allowing developers to tie-in external systems and traditional content creation workflows.
