Support business workflows and tie into existing systems

Nstein DAM 4 includes a flexible workflow engine (finite state machine model) that can be used to coordinate any type of content-related tasks. With states, transitions and permissions associated to asset types, complex workflows can be modeled to help automate the management of assets. Need to formalize an approval process? Set up an approval workflow so that those involved are clearly notified when content is awaiting their action.

The dashboard provides a quick view of assets awaiting attention. No longer are teams dependant on phone calls and emails when trying to complete their work.

REST integration

The DAM's REST API allows third party applications to be involved with workflow as well. Need to initiate an approval process from within the Web CMS? The DAM's open architecture allows external systems to integrate with your content repository greatly simplifying cross-system integration.

Extensible

As each content type moves from one state to another, DAM can trigger tasks to perform on that content. Tasks can include anything that can be scripted, even accessing external systems and databases. The DAM's workflow engine can coordinate the activities of multiple systems.

Tasks that users used to have to perform manually can be automated in the workflow system. DAM gives users access to all of the workflows with the push of a button.

Versioning

Versions can be automatically created on specified workflow transitions or manually by users. Authorized users can restore or rollback from any stored versions.
