Transcontinental Media sites now powered with Nstein's Web Content Management solution

2008-01-22

Leading Canadian magazine publisher re-launches its flagship site canadianliving.ca and boosts its visitors from 400,000 to 1 million per month using Nstein's solution for online publishing

Montreal, Quebec, January 22, 2008 - Nstein Technologies Inc. www.nstein.com (TSX-V: EIN), a leader in online publishing solutions for newspapers, magazines and online content providers, announced today that Transcontinental Media, Canada's largest publisher of consumer magazines, migrated two of its most popular sites onto Nstein's Web Content Management (WCM) solution.

Transcontinental Media chose its flagship site Canadian Living (www.canadianliving.ca) and French lifestyle site Le Bel Âge (www.lebelage.ca) to be the first sites for the deployment of Nstein's solution. Because of its robust yet flexible framework, Nstein's WCM was selected since it allows Transcontinental to rapidly go online with new business initiatives such as microsites, providing new advertising revenue opportunities.

Other key factors that led Transcontinental Media to adopt Nstein's content management system were: a LAMP architecture that significantly reduces IT costs and external dependencies, a native XML structure simplifying the consolidation of complex legacy data and a built-in search engine.

While Transcontinental reinforced the implementation of best SEO practices, the deployment of Nstein's WCM framework now enables the organization to easily publish high volumes of content and rapidly increase content visibility and availability for search engines. Since the re-launch of canadianliving.ca in October 2007, reports have shown a tremendous increase in website traffic, boosting from 400,000 unique visitors per month to nearly 1,000,000.

"As we moved into the next generation of Web technologies, we wanted to unify our processes into one centralized platform and ensure the autonomy of each site," said Zouhaire Sekkat, Vice-President, Digital Media, Transcontinental Media. "Nstein's WCM provides a framework where content can be easily published, reused and shared across our properties. We are glad to benefit from Nstein's e-publishing expertise'helping us to heighten our online visibility and create a more pervasive experience of Transcontinental Media's brands across our paper and digital properties."

"By moving its flagship sites onto our platform, Transcontinental Media has shown its confidence in Nstein's ability to increase traffic and stickiness with our web content management software," said Luc Filiatreault, President and CEO of Nstein Technologies. "We look forward to the next few months when migration of other web properties of Transcontinental Media will be rolled out using Nstein's WCM."
