Worldwide press agency to deploy Nstein's latest version of its IPTC-based automated indexing solution

Montreal, Quebec, October 24, 2006 - Nstein Technologies Inc. "Nstein" (TSX-V: EIN), a leader in text analytics and multilingual information access solutions, today announced that the global information provider United Press International (UPI) will be deploying Nstein's latest version of its IPTC-based automated indexing module, Ntelligent Categorizer. As part of its computer-automated indexing (CAI) solutions, Nstein's Ntelligent Categorizer helps e-publishers accelerate their go-to-market strategy with an off-the-shelf indexing solution pre-configured and optimized for the burgeoning e-publishing market as well as the traditional International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC) news standard taxonomy.

"We've been involved with Nstein since 2001, and undoubtedly the company has extensive knowledge of the e-publishing industry and a highly committed team. Nstein's robust text analytics solutions help organizations like us maximize e-community access to our premier content", stated Nicholas Chiaia, COO at United Press International. UPI uses Nstein's full complement CAI solutions, Nserver e-publisher and News Nserver. Over the past 5 years, Nstein has provided the organization with text analytics in various languages such as Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

"For 100 years now, UPI has worked by stringent standards, shaping the news industry and becoming a leader in the field, stated Mario Girard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nstein. Working with them has helped us tremendously in understanding the needs of e-publishing organizations. Today, our solutions for e-publishers are more complete and powerful than ever. Moreover, the recent launch of Nstein's new Ntelligent Content Management Suite (NCM) is a testimony of our commitment to the industry. Our new software suite for digital asset and web content management powered with advanced semantic analysis enables e-publishers to lower their production costs with a more streamlined digital content acquisition, management and repurposing workflow. We strive to help organizations produce added-value content that will broaden their revenue streams."

Nstein's automated and computer-aided indexing solutions not only help e-publishers monetize their digital assets but they also enhance the search & retrieval process for their editorial teams and clients. The latest release of Ntelligent Categorizer to be deployed at UPI is fully synchronized with IPTC's latest taxonomy version (version 17).
