Nstein Technologies to drive content indexing on Cyberpresse
2005-08-23
The Company signs with major information portal for the integration of its specialized information retrieval tools
Montreal, Quebec, August 23, 2005 - Nstein Technologies Inc. "Nstein" (TSX-V: EIN), a leader in advanced linguistic-based e-publishing solutions, today announced the signing of a contract with the Cyberpresse news portal, a subsidiary of Gesca Ltée., Canada's largest French-language information group. In Autumn 2005, Nstein will deploy the star products of its e-publishing solution to help Cyberpresse make its Web content more valuable and test the addition of contextual advertising functions.
Primarily, Nstein will be integrating its Ntelligent CategorizerTM, a categorization module pre-configured to the news industry's IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) standards, and designed to automatically index all types of news. In addition to providing rapid and relevant access to the Web content of the 7 major French-language daily newspapers that feed the portal, the agreement provides for the possible introduction of contextual advertising into the Cyberpresse environment using Nstein content-targeting technology in a subsequent phase.
"Cyberpresse is an indispensable resource for French-language news and we are very proud to provide them with e-publishing solutions that will help them better respond to their users" needs and create new business opportunities like introducing contextual advertising," declared Mario Girard, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Nstein Technologies. He added: "Superior search and navigation experience on such large news portal is the result of an advanced indexing strategy propelled by linguistic solutions that perform contextual analysis. For the user, it's no longer about searching but about finding the information, and the work we've done with some of the large US press organizations underscores that. We believe that our technology can help Cyberpresse add great value to all of its content."
