Montreal, December 1st, 2003 - Nstein Technologies Inc. (TSX-V:EIN), the leader of software solutions for managing and retrieving unstructured information, announced a strategic partnership with Randall Marcinko effective January 1st 2004.

As part of this strategic initiative, Nstein's Chairman and CEO Mario Girard will assume the responsibilities of COO and Marcinko will return to MEI as CEO, while remaining as President Emeritus of Nstein.

Girard and Marcinko are excited to fortify this strategic partnership. As Nstein continues to differentiate its products and services in numerous information industry segments including e-publishing, STM, financial services, legal, health, and other key markets, the company will continue to develop and market its complete suite of automated indexing products and services. As MEI's CEO, Randy Marcinko will offer a full complement of professional services to the content and knowledge management spaces. Marcinko plans to extend Nstein's suite further into specialized areas with the creation of add-on tools and indexing workbenches.

States Marcinko. "In my two years at Nstein, it has become very clear that there is a strong need for consultative assistance as customers consider automated indexing and the implementation of linguistic tools as the solution to countless Knowledge Management problems. MEI will focus on providing much needed professional services that will provide the vision, business objectives, and indexing strategy needed, while Nstein will focus on its core business " developing and marketing automated indexing products and services that are needed to fulfill these business objectives".

"With his 20 years of information industry experience, he has helped Nstein position itself as the undisputed leader within the e-publishing space, where Nstein has become a household name among the players, large and small" states Girard. "This partnership makes a great deal of sense " notably for our mutual e-publishing customer base. Together, we will offer a full range of professional services, from strategic consulting to ASP services, to add-on tools and workbench support where needed by a particular client type or segment of the industry."

Girard concludes by stating, "As President Emeritus, Randy will continue to add a great deal of value to Nstein going forward " both strategically, as well as in the field.
