The First Product Developed By Nstein Technologies Will Be Used By CEDROM-SNi, a Leading Canadian Electronic News Aggregator
2001-01-29
The agreement also calls for a strategic partnership that will enable Nstein to accelerate worldwide distribution of its first product
Montreal, January 29, 2001 - The President and Chief Executive Officer of Nstein Technologies (Me: EIN), Mario Girard, and the President of CEDROM-SNi, François Aird, are pleased to announce that they have concluded an agreement for a strategic partnership including support for commercial development, adaptation of the Nstein solution to the CEDROM-SNi environment and the issuing of an operating licence. The agreement calls for installation of Nstein's first product, an intelligent tool that categorizes loads of unstructured texts, automatically classifies them and summarizes them using highly accurate, proprietary technology. This tool is designed for the electronic new medias, a market estimated by the Delphi Group to be worth $2.5 billion US.
"This agreement marks a major step in the implementation of our technological solutions. Only nine months after its creation, Nstein has now marketed its first product to a reputable Canadian electronic news aggregator," Mr. Girard noted. "CEDROM-SNi classifies, indexes, and transfers more than 4,500 English- and French-language articles a day into its knowledge bases. Nstein's technology will speed up the indexing function exponentially. The team at CEDROM-SNi is dynamic and innovative, and its expertise complements our research and development team perfectly."
"All over the world, e-content management organizations are literally inundated with documents that have to be classified and archived in real time on a uniform basis for optimal use," Mr. Aird stressed. "It is not possible to manage these masses of data without an intelligent linguistic tool. The product developed by Nstein is very powerful, and can even learn itself. It will make managing data a lot easier for e-content management organizations."
This is why CEDROM-SNi has welcomed this product so enthusiastically. "The first tests our librarians did on the Nstein categorization technology were very impressive," Mr. Aird said. "As a result, we decided to invest in this partnership. The tests convinced us that the Nstein tools could really boost the productivity of our employees," he added.
This partnership is a terrific showcase of Nstein's technology. "This means we can show e-content management organizations around the world that our technology is not only innovative and unique, but also completely functional and at the leading edge of tools now on the market," Mr. Girard explained.
