2000-10-29
Montreal, November 29, 2000 - Mr. Mario Girard, President and CEO of Nstein Technologies, is pleased to announce that the company is ahead of schedule in the completion of its initial product. This initial product, developed for the electronic publishers market, will serve to launch Nstein in the technology licensing market. "We are very enthusiastic about having reached this milestone sooner" declared Mario Girard. "Our innovative product will enable electronic publishers to automatically classify & categories a continually growing news asset. Our proprietary technology will not only classify the large amount of news for our client but will add tremendous value to the news assets they are producing by making them easier to retrieve and find on the Internet. This added value our product provides will generate additional revenue for our electronic publisher customers." he added. As soon as testing is complete, the licenses will be offered to electronic news publishers. This first product will automatically classify texts and produce a summary in real-time.
In the wake of its plan to develop technology for electronic publishers, Nstein was obliged to terminate its contents agreement with Reuters in order to be able to focus its marketing efforts on other major players in the sector. As a result of its imminent market launch, Nstein has accelerated its employment plan by announcing the hiring of fifty new specialists and the return of co-founder Louis Massicotte to the position of special adviser to the President.
In a world where more than ten billion email messages are sent daily and the growth of new Web pages is estimated at seven million per day, information available in-house to companies is increasing at a phenomenal rate, doubling every six months.Above and beyond this first product and the simple Summarizer, the Nstein line of products will cover many functions related to information processing such as automatic classification, conceptual analysis, interdocument links, customization, etc. It is anticipated that such functions will literally change the way users surf the Internet and intranets. In this context, the American group Delphi recently released a review which indicated that Nstein was clearly positioned to become a world leader in the market of interactive linguistic tools.Nstein Technologies is a public company listed on the Montreal Exchange since June 27, 2000 under the abbreviation EIN.
